KurbConnect shows you your household waste collection schedule, reminds you before pickup day, and lets you report service problems to your provider. These terms cover your use of the KurbConnect app and this website.
KurbConnect is operated by Honea Enterprises, LLC (“we,” “us”). Your waste service provider — the city, county, or private hauler serving your address — is a separate organization. By using KurbConnect you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What KurbConnect is
KurbConnect is an information service. We do not collect waste. Collection is performed by your provider under whatever arrangement you have with them, and KurbConnect is not part of that arrangement. We cannot start, stop, or change your service, we do not set rates, and we do not bill you.
KurbConnect is free for residents. Your provider pays for the service.
Schedules come from your provider
Collection days, holiday changes, set-out times, and preparation guidelines are supplied by your provider. We display that information. We do not originate it, independently verify it, or control when a truck actually arrives.
Routes change, weather and equipment cause delays, and a provider can revise a schedule without telling us first. Treat KurbConnect as a convenience rather than a guarantee, and follow any direct instruction from your provider over what the app shows.
Reminders are best effort
Reminders are delivered through Apple's and Google's push notification services. Whether one arrives depends on your device, your network, your notification settings, and those services — none of which we control. A reminder may be delayed or may not arrive at all.
Please do not rely on a reminder as the only thing prompting you to set out a container.
Reports you send
A report you submit goes to your provider. We pass it along; we do not act on it ourselves, and we cannot promise a response or a timeframe. Your provider decides what happens next and on what schedule.
KurbConnect is not for emergencies. For a spill, a fire, a hazardous material, or anything needing immediate attention, contact your provider directly or call 911.
How you may use the app
- Use KurbConnect for an address you live at, own, or are otherwise connected to.
- Do not submit reports you know to be false.
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.
- Do not attempt to reach other people's information, or to probe, overload, or interfere with the service.
We may suspend access that is being used in these ways.
Photos and text you submit
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us permission to store it and pass it to your provider so your report can be handled, and to keep it for as long as our Privacy Policy describes.
Please avoid including people, license plates, or documents in photos you send.
Service availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of KurbConnect. The app depends on providers continuing to supply schedule data — if a provider stops participating, schedules for that area may stop with it.
Disclaimer
KurbConnect is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of information. We do not warrant that schedules are correct, that reminders will be delivered, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Honea Enterprises, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any missed collection, fee, fine, penalty, or other loss arising out of your use of, or reliance on, KurbConnect. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).
Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Tom Green County, Texas.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
